Hi All,
Recently received a rather strange letter from the council requesting the details of the owner of our council tax bill. After a rather confusing and lengthly call it transpires Taylor Wimpey did not follow the correct procedure when registering specific properties with the council resulting in a period between registering properties and legal completion where a bill has been generated but not paid. The council rep was very helpful and cancelled the bill on the system showing as outstanding for the period before we actually took ownership of the property. I suspect there might be more of these cases so I would advise you call the council if you receive a rather strange letter requesting your details. I did warn the council that Cedar Avenue is a new address with a number of new properties and gave them the address of Taylor Wimpey South West Thames but suspect nothing will pro-actively be done to stop the letters.

Ours was one of the specific properties, had to register it with the council ourselves. Just got that sorted then still received the letter you've mentioned!
