Hi All,
I see a number of our bins have not been emptied again today. I tried calling the council but the office was shut at 16:15. (wish i worked these hours). Anyway i completed the on-line form to report a missed collection. Not sure if its the entire Cedar Avenue that has been missed again? Garth

I called them of Friday and they said they would try to collect on Saturday. I called again today and they said they will try to collect at 'some point' this week. Apparently a car and van where blocking the road on Friday. A lorry can't really get through when people are parking there as it is tight enough anyway.

Hi Jamie, Agreed. And think this is going to be a regular problem so they need to come up with a better plan for collectoin as the problem will not go away. I pointed this out to Valerie at the council. I know the SRA has refuse collection as an agenda item and its been looked at currently for the whole of Cedar Avenue. I suspect the bottom end of the estate is going to have even more problems as the road are really narrow there. All it will take is one car and it will all go out the window.

Unfortunately the roads are so narrow, there will need to be a solution as in the summer if collections are missed it will be a hygiene hazard!
The trouble is that everybody has 2 cars and 1 parking space & garage (which no body uses for their car) thus parking cars on the road. I think that is why in the covenants it states that there is no parking on the road! I think that everybody just needs to be sensible and considerate when parking as more worryingly if a dust bin lorry cant get down then neither would a fire engine in an emergency!!

The same problem has occurred again on Friday 12th and 19th April. I have rung a few times and there has always been a reason, such as a vehicle blocking the road..apparently. Today I was told that their 'log' reported that they had returned and emptied the bins, which they had not. They will be around again at some time, but I suggest we keep ringing and complaining until a better resolution is found. "Refuse and Recycling (missed bins, green waste etc) 01444 477440" MSDC.
