I would suggest that it may be a good idea to convene a meeting at the Fox and Hounds to coordinate front for the next meeting at the town hall as if not then we will be subject to progress even though TW do not legally own the field yet and it's at planning. Bruce (No.30)

My sister is a planner at B&H council so have asked her advice if these plans are council friendly. She also has a close friend in mid Sussex planning she will seek info from her.

FYI Need to ensure that the local authority insist upon the developer completing a Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) which would be secured by a Legal Agreement if the developer is relying on access from an existing housing site to build the additional housing as you will be potentially have construction traffic coming past existing housing. The agreement would detail the times/days/hours of operation on the site and details restrictions of when they cannot operate e.g. not weekends. Dust and noise mitigation Identify a clear manager of the plan who would be contactable to ensure that the terms of the CEMP were adhered to Routing for construction vehicles Other issues I would ensure that the local authority explore with the developer whether alternative routing for construction vehicles can be explored. E.g. some agreement with the farmer that a temporary access road is put it which is made right when development ceases. The development site is likely to have a site compound with temporary buildings for builders. This is usually located at the entrance to the site (this might be near to existing housing). Also the council may be forced to accept this if they haven't had enough houses built for their housing yearly quota. Thanks Katy,
We have discussed this at length at our meetings and have said that there is no way that their 18 wheeler trucks would fit down our road and be able to negotiate the corner to get into a new development site.
TW have more or less agreed with me on this point and are going to loby the council for a separate site access for building purposes... My idea would to lobby the council for a separate access altogether if they can get a temporary site access.
Even if they don't use our road a legal doc to state working hours, dust control, etc would be beneficial. However, they didn't seem to keep to these constraints on this site so I'm not sure they would on future sites regardless....
Thanks so much for finding all this out for us! Katie
