Hi All - This a copy of an email I have written to TW re the above proposals:
Dear Yuved
I won't be able to make any of the meetings in July (curiously timed for the school holidays)!
I have know that the land HH11 was earmarked for future development and therefore moved in to Cedar Avenue with this in mind.
How strange that during the purchase process through 2012,Taylor Wimpey (TW) was able to inform us of the pending Crest Nicholson developments to the South of Sandrocks, but never once mentioned the proposed development of Rookery Farm? Why would that be I wonder.
Can you tell me if TW actually owns the proposed development site, or are you submitting speculative plans?
How interesting that TW waited until all the Sandrocks houses were sold and occupied before letting the new owners know of the proposed new development. Could it be that the Sandrocks houses would not sell so well if prospective buyers were aware in advance?
Existing Sandrocks properties are currently being put on the market directly because of your proposals.
The current road layout of Cedar Avenue is not fit for purpose for the current residents. It will never sustain a new development using the same piece of road.
How can you possibly even consider using an existing small cul de sac as a future passthrough from one development to another? Do you propose that this would also be the site access for two years or more, a total blight on our houses and lives?
I have no problems with a new development, but like my neighbours I will fight TW tooth and nail to prevent access in any form from Cedar Avenue, and this will include all available forms of action if it gets through the planning process. There is sufficient scope for a separate access to the Rookery Farm development from the current Farm driveway or a new access road directly off Rocky Lane. This must be incorporated into the new Haywards Heath by-pass plans.
My experience of TW in buying my current property has been a very negative one, your bad Nationwide reputation has been proved correct at almost every turn. You now are continuing to act in what can only be described as an underhand and immoral way with the new access proposal.
